Gina Wendkos
April 8 – 29 1981
Gina Wendkos’ work is about metaphors, which invite the public to use their imaginations and derive their own fantasies from what she creates. Her site-specific installation for the “Window” was created to have the most profound effect when viewed at night. The installation closed with a performance, Four Blondes, for which Wendkos hired actrsses to enact the the scenes depicted in the paintings on the street outside the window.
