Dan Cameron was a guest curator for the New Museum in 1982, organizing the exhibition “Extended Sensibilities: Homosexual Presence in Contemporary Art” and participating in a related panel discussion, Homosexual Sensibilities: Is there a Homosexual Sensibility in Contemporary Art? Cameron would later be hired by the New Museum as Senior Curator in 1996, a position he held until he left the Museum in 2005.
