Since the fall of 2013, the New Museum’s Experimental Study program has connected students and artists-in-residence to engage in critical dialogue. The nine-week, application-based program for young people aged fifteen to twenty years old, is held weekly in the evening during each R&D Season, and offers twelve participants the chance to work closely with artists, engage in critical discussions around contemporary art and culture, and contribute directly to the New Museum Education Department’s ongoing commitment to social analysis and change.
