In “Offside,” Dolores Zinny and Juan Ignacio Maidagan, two emerging artists from Argentina who are based in New York, collaborate to transform the New Museum stairway with an installation that addresses the viewer’s perception of space. This “spacial intervention” temporarily disguises the existing structure of the stairway through use of color, material, and light. The New Museum’s presentation of Offside, organized by Senior Curator Dan Cameron, is the artists’ first exhibition in a major museum in the U.S.
